Generally those go into a molded recess in the front of a handheld case.

For small production or prototypes, you can use an adhesive like 3M 467MP to seal the display to the front panel. There might need to be some mechanical backing too.

I have seen the display mounted to the PCB using foam tape. When the PCB is mounted to the front panel, the tape compresses, pushing the display into the molded recess.
