631 Lcd

i connected my LCD to the USB on my mother board, after switching ON the PC, i did not see anything on the LCD screen and did smell something strange so immediately switch it off.

i have USB1 and USB2 on my motherboard, i connected the cable to USB2 and make sure to be connected as per the mother baord manuel:

+5v -D +D Ground

can someone advise what might be wrong

this is how the USB looks like on thr motherboard as the attched word file, but physically at the top there is 4 pins and at the bottom there is 5 pins,

can you explain where to connect the 4 pins, is the on the top one or the bottom one.

If it smelled strange, then the +5v and Ground probably got reversed.

Does the display still work if you use the beige USB cable?

Can you get us a link to the manual?

i think i connected it the proper way now as:

GRD + - VCC

but still telling me the LCD is not connected,

do you think the LCD is busted

your reply is highly apreciated
