i connected my LCD to the USB on my mother board, after switching ON the PC, i did not see anything on the LCD screen and did smell something strange so immediately switch it off.

i have USB1 and USB2 on my motherboard, i connected the cable to USB2 and make sure to be connected as per the mother baord manuel:

+5v -D +D Ground

can someone advise what might be wrong

thanks

this is how the USB looks like on thr motherboard as the attched word file, but physically at the top there is 4 pins and at the bottom there is 5 pins,

can you explain where to connect the 4 pins, is the on the top one or the bottom one.

thanks

If it smelled strange, then the +5v and Ground probably got reversed.

Does the display still work if you use the beige USB cable?

Can you get us a link to the manual?
