I have been wondering, can I simply use this type of hardware and no monitor for simple command line usage? With Linux? With Win2k?
I am currently building a mini-itx computer to use as a dedicated hard drive recorder (audio, that is) and I don't want to bother with a monitor when I am using it on location. (I would like to connect to a monitor when I get back home, though.) The programs I use are simple and have command line capability, and so I have wondered, can I just install this device and its drivers, and then have a dos prompt, or a nix prompt? Is that something I can do with this hardware?
