I am interested in building a dedicated MP3 player out of an old PC.
Somebody suggested to use a CrystalFontz display rather than a TV out card.
So the question is...
Is there suitable software (for W98) to enable a LCD display to be pluged in (serial or parallel) and a plugin to be added to winamp to have the MP3 details displayed?
also if there is will it display stuff like the available playlists, album names/etc.
It would cost roughly the same to have either a TV out or a LCD, but i want to have ease of use as the highest priority.
The player would be controlled by IR (using irman).
I want to be able to see items like song/album/playlist names when searching/selecting tunes as well as song details when playing songs.
Anybody?
