I would like to know if it is possible to increase the vertical scan rate of a TFT LCD to 200Hz or more.
As I notice Sony TFT LCDs have the highest vertical scan rate (85Hz) among the other LCD manufacturers. Yet sony did not produce the lcds. They just buy the lcds from LG & Philips.
Why don't they make it higher?
Is it just the manufacturers think that 85Hz is enought for the market or there is a limitation in the hardware part( like the response rate of the liquid crystal)???
