Serial and parallel Lcds

I have a question....For the parallel Lcd... Is it possible to hook it up to the serial port? and for the Serial Lcd... the one that fits in the 3 1/2 drive bay..Is it too small to show system info?

The parallel LCDs can be used with the serial port, but it will require a Wirz serial "backpack" which you will have to buy separatley.

Neither of the serial LCDs fit in a 3"1/2' bay.
The smaller serial LCD, the 632 (16x2) is too big, it will fit in a 5"1/4' bay though.

The 632 will show the same system info, just less of it at the same time than the 634.

But Crystalfontz sells the mounting bracket and the power cable and serial cable all in one...It's $65.00 Will that fit in my Drive bay?

Thats for a 5"1/4' drive bay (cdrom size)... not for a 3"1/2' drive bay (floppy drive size).

The kit you pointed out is for the 632 16x2 serial LCD.
It wont work with any other LCD... the 632 only.
