Samsung LCD DID Introduction

A. Brief Introduction of DID LCD: LCD Spelling Panel(Digital Information Display) was brought out by Samsung in 2006 as a new technology ,with high resolution in sigal panel in 1366X768、1920 X1080、1920 X1200 and full DID in 1366xMx768xN、1920xMx1080xN、1920xMx1200xN, and super size of display area in 32,40,46,52,57,70 and 82 inches.

Their Datasheets are as following:

LTI820HT-L01

LTI700HD01-001

LTI570HH-L01

B. Production Characterristic:

1. High Brightness

Comparing with LCD TV and LCD Monitor, Thhe brightness is more higher than them . The brightness for TV or Monitor is often 250~300cd/㎡,but 700cd/㎡ or more is for LCD DID.

2. High Contrast Ratia

The Contrast Ratia for LCD DID is 1200:1 , indeed to 10000:1, that is twice times than traditional PC or TV Panel’s, three times than rear-projection.
3. Good color Saturation
The saturation of CRT is usually more or less 50%,and DID LCD is from 80% to 92% respect that color calibration technique. With calibration technique, it can keep the output picture stable and precision.

4. Big visual angle

By PVA(Patterned Vertical Alignment)visual angle can be dual 180digree in vertial and horizontal.

5. With Better reliability

The design for LCD TV and LCD Monitor cannt support use in day and night, and LCD DID is used to Surveillance center and Exhibition Center with use in7x24 hours.

6. Pure Plane Display
LCD is the representative of Plane Display Equipment, truly pure plane monitor, wihout curvature picture and anamorphic distortion.

7. Design for super thin

DID products is advantage in super thin and light weight while super display area. DID is designed in excellent narrow board that is less than 1cm , so that there is no effect on the piture .

8. Euqal Bright , no flicking for picture

Every pixel of LCD Display Equipment keeps the color and bright after got the siginal ; But CRT is flashing new pixel. That is reason that LCD is with equal bright and no flicking effect for picture.

9. DID in 120HZ flash ratia.

The Display technique of LCD DID in 120HZ supply one solution on Smear and blur, and boost up the definition and contrast ratia in order to make picture more limpidity . It is good for our eyes.

10. Longer life
The LCD Panel for TV is normally in backlight that life is 10000 to 30000 houres, and The backlight of LCD DID is with life from 50000 to 100000 houres . By this , It warrants spelling panel( DID) that each LCD Panel keeps coherence on brightness, contrast and chroma ,and the life is no less than 50000 houres.

I have a LCD monitor that does not have S-video input. How can I use the DVI connector? I recently purchased a wide format 20.1 inch LCD monitor. It has D-sub analog and DVI inputs but does not have an S-video input. I would like to hook it up to my home theater receiver wich has S-video, YPbPr and composite outputs. Is there an easy way to make the monitor work with either the S-video or the YPbPr outputs? I certainly don't want to use the composite video output because of its poor quality. Im willing to spend some time and effort if the solution is not so complicated. But I can always return it, or use it as another computer monitor. Any comments our solutions?

Ok so you need DVI to Component video? -- how about this? - http://sewelldirect.com/dvivideoadapter.asp
