Question about graphical LCDs

Sorry that i do this Noob question, i have susesfully installed on on my lpt port and wanted to get more for some friends, mine its an ampire 128x64 ks0108/7 based LCD.

I saw that you have ks0108 based displays, now i wanted to know whats the difference between with or without Built-in Negative Voltage Generator.

how do i know if mine has a negative voltage generator?

The Ampire calls out a "DC/DC converter". This is probably similar to our "Negative Voltage Generator".

This module would probably be pretty close: CFAG12864B-TMI-V
