PLED/OLED power supplies

I'm considering using a CFAP1602B-Y-ECS PLED/OLED module to replace a CFAH1602B-YMI-JP LCD module in a current design. It is unclear from the CFAP1602B-Y-ECS data sheet whether the drive current for the PLEDs is supplied by the V_DD pin, with the V_BT pin as a control input, or if I have to supply enough current on the V_BT pin to drive the PLEDs. I would appreciate a clarification. Thanks in advance...

The drive current for the PLEDs is supplied by the V_DD pin, with the V_BT pin as a control input, as you stated.

That said, I would try to avoid the PLED modules for the time being, as they have had a much, much longer lead time than I would recommend for migration at this time.
