painting bracket?

I've got a 634 mounting bracket in original beige and am looking to paint it to match the color scheme of my computer. I've been using krylon high gloss spray paint and 320/400 wet/dry sandpaper on the case previously. Anybody have any suggestions as to the best way to approach this task?

Probably the best way would be to peel off the plastic front on the metal bracket, then paint the metal bracket.

Wont quite look as neat as youll be able to see the black frame around the LCD, but painting the plastic front wont work too well.

Also by peeling it off, you could stick it back on the metal bracket at a later date.
