On screen gibberish

Hi

Just had deilvery of a 20x4 backlit serial LCD

Seems to boot fine with either Linux or windows, but then I get gibberish flowing accross screen. This happens if I run the LCDd daemon. Running lcdproc does not display any other info

Typical command I am using: LCDd -d CFontz

Help?

I've been reading this forum for about half a year. I've learned that gibberish on serial lcd:s is usually generated by having the lcd module and the com-port on different baud-rates. Try some other baud-rates on your com-port...

Sorry, this was totally the wrong forum, but there we are. The dip switches didn't match the baud

All is now well
