LCD power

Anyone know about how much power an LCD will draw? I'm thinking about getting an hd44780 of some size for my mini-server, however it only has a 60w power supply (it's a via EPIA system, it doesn't draw much) and to be honest I think it's already near its limits. I know the USB ones can't draw more than 2.5w since that's the limit of a USB port, but what about the parallel ones?

Typically, monochrome LCD panels only draw a few milliwatts, but the backlight can draw several hundred milliwatts.

You really need to look at the data sheet for the display that you want to use. You haven't given enough info for anything beyond a guess. Usually only color panels draw a watt or more, but, again, thats just a guess.
