I have not seen any controllers that claim to be specifically I2C compatible, but there are controllers that have a serial mode, with a serial clock and a data input, instead of a parallel bus. The Crystalfontz CFAX series with Samsung chips, and displays with Epson SED156x chips (Optrex and others) have this feature. But they both require control signals, and are "write only" in serial mode.
Are you looking for just a controller chip, or a display with this kind of controller?
Infact, I am looking for an LCD controller with Display. Either I2c or SPI would be fine for me.
The LCD controller should support 96 x 64 CSTN display.
Do you have any ideas if something similar would be available?
My CPU would interface the LCD controller through SPI/I2C. yah, I understand that there will be control signals.
