How to SAVE SCREEN in Screen Editor?

That is 1 thing you can not do at this time. Hopefully, this will be incorporated in a future release.

really?

is there a manual way to doing this? I'd like tomake at least a backup of the screen file - how do I do that?

Thanks,

marco

What is in the screen? If is similar to an existing screen, make the text file yourself.

Or tell me what is in it (pix would be nice, also), and I could probably do it.

I do need to know some additional info. There are several id=xxxxxxxx's. The info for these id's are in other ini files. If you could zip all the ini files in the cc2 directory and post here, this would (or should) give me the rest of the info needed to make some screen files.

BTW, I'm not doing anything with the weather file. You can simply open up the screen file and copy/paste your location info directly there. OK?

yep, 1 more thing.... I need a copy of your ACTank.txt file. Just to test to make sure what I come with does what it supposed to do.

Also, if you want to, give me a description of what all this does/comes from. If you don't mind, I would post the these screens in the User Screen Libray. I would need info on how you produce the text file, also.

JC,

This is a "remote" display for an Aquarium Controller.

NeptuneSystems AC3 (www.neptunesys.com)

Someone else wrote a script using Macro Scheduler to telnet to the device, and perform a "stutus" request, capture the data from the telnet response, and parse it into the ACTank.txt

ACTank.txt:
Code:
[READINGS]
STAT=NORMAL
TEMP=82.0
PH=7.99
ORP=429
COND=--.-
[PX1000]
PX1_1=80.8
PX1_2=8.10

I will try that file in ajust a minute, need to switch to to the windows machine (my main machine is OSX)

This is for a saltwater reef tank. I'll send you a PM with a link to my setup :)

Which files should I backup, just i case the screen files don't work proper on my setup?

thanks,

marco

No need to backup. Don't delete any of your current screens. Just add the new ones. If the new screens don't work, just delete 'em (but they should work fine).

JC,

sorry for the lack of response - i did not get around to checking the file over the weekend - I've had the screen apart as I'm trying to make a frame for the drive bay bracket - this one is going to be mounted on the wall.

I should be able to test it tomorrow i hope.

This is a remote screen for my AquaController 3 - it shows Temp, Temp#2, PH, PH#2, If the unit has an alarm, if it's in maintenance mode ..the ORP .. etc..etc.. ... here are my pics:
