Graphic LCD Support

Im thinking about doing a review on your new graphical LCD unit ( http://www.crystalfontz.com/products/240128d/index.html )
Is this unit supported by the CrystalControl software?
The unit is pretty pointless without software so Im just making sure before I make a purchase

None of the graphical LCDs are supported by CrystalControl.

I think there is free/sharware software around that does support them though.

hmm, could you perhaps link to any?
doesnt look too bright if theres not any crystalfontz software support and you have to go elsewhere

I can't find a prog to control a grahpic modul (with a LC7981) via par port.
If the Admin think (or know) - give us a link, please.

I dont know of any software.
Never looked into it.

You have to remeber that those LCDs are not made for use with PCs, and really are not suited to interfacing via a printer port.
Its not too supprising that the software is hard to come by.

No - not really. Ok, that's a little bit off base for you.
But I believe you know the 7981/61830.
I can't see the big differences to control it via a printer port
(compared to a 44780). You?
After a short time thinking about, may be you (sorry, or someone else here) have a hint.
