Failure to close com ports on shutdown

This is a problem that happens with any program active on any com port: windows xp fails to shut down or restart until these programs are closed. Are you aware of this problem? Do you see any fix? Ive contacted the creator of another com port program that shares this issue. He says he's acknowledged this problem but has no clue how to fix it.

CrystalControl does close the com ports when it exist, and does not wait for the com ports to close before it does.

If other software is doing it also, i would look to the OS as the problem.

Yeh.
The only thing you can really do is to try reinstalling windows.

CrystalControl is made to work under XP.
