Hi,
I just bought a 635 a few minutes ago online and am going to put it in my car and code up some wicked python to tell me what song is playing and let me change songs and stuff. I had a serial 634 years ago and it was nice. Anyway, I got the USB 635 and am a little worried about the 10ft limit of USB1.1. (These are USB1.1, right? If they're 2.0, then 16' is more than enough for me.)
So I'm wondering, has anyone tried these $15 active USB extenders? They claim to be compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 but I just wondered if anyone has actually tried them out with a LCD. Let me know. Thanks. Looking forward to playing with the 635.
