ok so i was browsind around some moding sites and i saw a pc with a lcd and i thought, i want one! So i came here and saw the one i liked CFAH2004A-TMI-JP .

I looked around again for a guide to hook it up and found one, it was to connect it to the paralell port, so far so good.

Then i thought, wouldn't it be cool if i could put one on my keyboard too? so i thought of a wat to do it but i had a problem, only one paralell port. after a little research i found that you can add a pcb to the back of a lcd to hook it up to a serial port.

Now i found one of these things A SLI-OEM and say a guide on this site to install one of these. My only problem is that i am irish so i cannot find a distributor in europe.

Also is it worth spending $20 on?

Thanks

We do not recommend the parallel modules (such as the one you are interested in) for end-user PC applications. These modules require more extensive wiring knowledge and the proper tools. These modules are primarily intended for OEM (manufacturer) use, and as such, we do not carry any cables, brackets, or serial adapters for these modules.

We do not offer end-user tech support on the CFAH*, CFAG* or CFAP* series modules in PC applications. We will not accept returns on CFAH*, CFAG* or CFAP* modules damaged in an attempt to connect them to a PC.

The serial/USB modules and kits (634, 633, 632 models and kits: http://www.crystalfontz.com/products/select_kit.html) are best suited for PC applications.

That said, we have a tutorial on connecting one of our LCD modules to a SLI-OEM here:
