chinese characters on segmented LCD

I've been trying to find a solution to implementing chinese characters on a segmented LCD if possible at all... So far I've only been able to find graphics display solutions but I would like to find a segmented LCD solution.

If anyone has any ideas on how to do this please point me to where I could do this.

If the number of characters/messages you need is small enough, you could just turn on certain segments of a custom designed display, where each segment would be a perfectly formed character.

Otherwise you would pretty much need a graphic.

How many characters do you need to display? We do have a graphic that is designed for Chinese characters, you would have to write sales(at)crystalfontz(dot)com and ask for information on the display that is designed for Chinese characters, since it is not a standard module.
