CGRAM size

Hi,

I have been able to create bitmap fonts and assign the to CGRAM memory at positions 0 through 7.

I see in the datasheet for the CFA 635 that there are 16 CGRAM positions to store fonts? Why are 8 - 15 repeats of 0 - 7.

Is it possible for me to assign a font character to position 8, 9 ... 15 on the CFA635?

There are only 8 special characters (CGRAM[0] through CGRAM[7]).

The positions of 8-15 are just aliases of the positions at 0-7. They both address the same memory. So if you change CGRAM[0], characters of both 0 and 8 will be changed on the screen.
