Hi, I'm planning to add a LCD to my PC in the near future that should display system information like cpu usage, disk free and used memory and so on. I've stumbled upon your product CFAF320240F-035T-TS and though considering it very nice and fit for my project, since I'm not very experienced with this kind of things, I was wondering if this display would work for me or not. And if not, could you suggest me which of your display would be better for me ? Keeping in mind I'd really like RGB and touch display.

Many thanks

Getting the CFAF320240F-035T-TS up and running for the task that you are wanting is not a simple one. The module supports a number of interfaces, but none of the directly relate to one that a PC would have. What you would end up doing would be to build an interface for it where your PC would send data to a micro-controller, that in turn would talk to the TFT.

For getting up and running quickly, you may find that one of our intelligent modules in a drive bay kit to me a better fit. Depending on how much room you have, and how much information you would like to have displayed will depend on the module / kit that you would get. Plue, all of our intelligent USB and Serial modules work with our CrystalControl2 software where support for CPU usage, disk usage, memory usage is "built in" with some of the standard screens.

I would take a look at our CFA635 series. It is a 20 x 4 (20 characters by 4 lines) module with a USB interface:

Thanks for your reply. Could you tell me what kind of microcontroller I should need in order to accomplish the task ? Anyway the solution you suggested is indeed very interesting but I'd really like some DIY graphic to be displayed. Moreover as far as I've understood, but please correct me if I'm wrong, CrystalControl2 doesn't handle graphic display.

Best regards
