CFA634 serial , use usb to serial fail

Recently i have brought a CFA634 serial, after the item reach here, i found that, my computer didn't have any serial port :( then i buy another usb to RS232 converter.

but the lcd display just display full of crap only, i have read the USB232A_Driver_Installation_Instructions
the driver was same , but i just can't get it work, is it another tutorial about this??

Garbage usually means an incorrect baud rate.

Please check the baud rate. The LCD should be set to 19,200 by default (it will show the speed for a few seconds when it powers up).

Make sure the software you use is set to the same baud rate.

Let us know what happens.

regarding the baud rate, i have try
setting the usb to serial port at hardware manager, set to 19200 -- fail
setting at the crystal control 2 to 19200 -- fail
testing with wintest 2.0 it detected com 1 baud rate 19200 opened, but still garbage word......

i have tested at the normal pc with serial port, it just work fine :mad:
is it any chances that the usb to rs232 is broken??
or how to i check it?

Well, if it works serial, but not through the adapter, then the adapter would be suspect.

If you would like, I am sure we could just arrange to send the module back here, we could convert it to USB, and send it back.
