Is there any way of making the screen stay on when the computer is either shutdown or in standby?

My motherboard is set to use 5v USB when its shutdown but cant find a way of making the screen stay on

Cheers.

Hi, is your CFA631 set up for ATX?

You might look at Command 28 Set ATX Power Switch Functionality

Function 4: LCD_OFF_IF_HOST_IS_OFF
If LCD_OFF_IF_HOST_IS_OFF is set, the CFA631 with ATX will blank its screen and turn off its backlight to simulate its
power being off any time POWER-ON SENSE is low.The CFA631 with ATX will still be active (since it is powered by
VSB), monitoring the keypad for a power-on keystroke. If +12v remains active (which would not be expected since the
host is “off”), the fans will remain on at their previous settings. Once POWER-ON SENSE (GPIO[1]) goes high,
the CFA631 with ATX will reboot as if power had just been applied to it.

If your CFA631 has the above ATX function enabled, you'll need to disable it to be able to see the screen after shut down, and thus to be able to use lcdsmartie to show your desired information
