CC 1.07 Crash Problem

Everytime i start CC or do a reboot, everything comes up fine for about 30-45 seconds, then it crashes. Doesn't matter how many times i restart the program, computer, or reinstall the software (even the temp files are deleted before reinstalling). I always error out. I was having the same problem with 1.06 as well, so i thought that i might opt to try out the new stable 1.07 version. Off of the error information this is what i get:

AppName: crystalcontrol.exe

ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106
Offset: 00013887

Any help would be much appreciated.
When i was havin probs with 1.06 I tried using jalcds 3.11, but had nothing but problems. I have yet to get any software to work other than LCD weather.

OS: Win XP Pro SP1 (with Java)
Mobo: SOYO KT333 Platnium
LCD: XE634BK-TFB-KU
Using a USB 2.0 Plug

One other question, are there suppose to be any specific services running for this to work?

CC doesnt need any services if your not using HD44780 displays.

Only thing i can sugest trying is removing all your CC settings:

Run regedit.
Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the CrystalControl key (all of it).

Then setting CrystalControl back up.

Thanks for the quick reply, ill try that and let you know how it goes.

[EDIT] Well i tried it twice, no luck. I still receive the same error. Is it possable that i have a defective unit? Or is there something else i can try?
