Boot screen with 633

I have found out how to use wintest to set the boot screen for the 633, but I would like to use a logo if possible. I see the boot screen utility for the other 4-line models and was wondering if I could use that utility and leave the bottom lines blank, or would that screw things up? I also remembered seeing the following in the "spec sheet":

Non-volatile memory ("EEPROM") capability: Customize the "power-on" display settings plus a 16-byte "scratch" register for storing IP, netmask, system serial number . . .

How do I set the scratch register and how can I then use it in a display, or is that not possible?
