Well, I decided to write a new thread instead of replying on my old one because it was interesting on how he did this. Here's the email he sent back.. Thank goodness he knew English

thanks for your email. no need to use a translator though
you are right, the 634 shown on lcdmax.de was modded using a el sheet and an 110v inverter. the el sheet was cut to fit the display.
its very tricky to take apart the display without damaging it. the tricky part is not to move the what i call guidance rubbers. this is the small rubber part used to connect the lc active glass to the electronics.
the chance to ruin your nice CF display is pretty high, the backlight of the shown module was defective anyway, so it got the blue el sheet.
