I am in need of an 8 line LCD. The one that looks perfect for my project was used in a circuit cellar article, but I am not sure of a model number or anything. Below is a link to the article, please take a look and tell me if you know of anything similar (and very cheap) that I can use. I must let you know that I am a beginner in LCD stuff.

My project will use a microcontroller (probably a PIC or atmel chip.)
It will be a sort of hanheld thing, not controlled by a PC. The only interface of a PC will be to load a program into the memory, and then to dump the memory back to a PC.
