Hey, I was planning on buying an LCD screen soon for my case but I have some questions:

1) Do the graphics displays only display temperatures?
2)Why is the 635 USB display more expensive than the 634?
3) Isn't the 634 display larger than the 635?
4)What is the largest internal display you sell? Also, can the 634 display temperatures? Does it have temperature probes? Can I just use external software to feed the display?

Thanks!

1) Do the graphics displays only display temperatures?

What is displayed depends on the software. Our graphic displays have a parallel microcontroller interface, it can be done on a PC, but is a long journey.

2) Why is the 635 USB display more expensive than the 634?

More features (keypad, LEDs, etc), USB interface on the CFA-634, CFA-634 is a simpler module.

3) Isn't the 634 display larger than the 635?

Yes, the CFA-634 is larger than the CFA-635.

4)What is the largest internal display you sell?

CFA-634

Also, can the 634 display temperatures? Does it have temperature probes? Can I just use external software to feed the display?

CC2 is the software of choice for most Crystalfontz users:

There are some other programs (this list may be a bit out of date):

The only red backlight one is the CFA-631, which fits in a 3.5" floppy drive bay.

It is as close as we can make it on the CFA-635. Pretty darn good match, but it is not "perfect".

Thanks for the awesome reply! Just please clarify these 4 things:

1) I know the amount of room the 634 takes us is more, but is the screen actually larger? They're both 20x4 right?
2)Is the black for the 634 the brushed aluminum or is it just plan black?
3)So for normal users, it's best to get a USB display or a serial display and not a graphic display because those are parrallel right?
4) Is it possible to have multiple things such as FRAPS and say Winamp on the screen @ the same time?

Thank you!

The CFA634 and CFA635 are both 20x4 displays. The CFA634 is physically larger and will take up two 5 1/4" drive bays when using our bracket.

2)Is the black for the 634 the brushed aluminum or is it just plan black?

The bezel for the CFA634 is black plastic

3)So for normal users, it's best to get a USB display or a serial display and not a graphic display because those are parrallel right?

For connection to a PC, any of the CFA6xx series is ideal as they are available in USB and Serial connectivity and we have the USB Drivers and software to use them. The graphics displays are parallel and require custom code or third party applications.

4) Is it possible to have multiple things such as FRAPS and say Winamp on the screen @ the same time?

Depending on how complex you want to get, you should be able to have information from multiple sources at one time. Keep in mind that you can also have a number of 'screens' configured and rotate through them as well rather than a static display if you so chose.
