I've been working with Everest, a hardware-monitor utility that some outstanding sensor monitoring capabilities. I'm trying to encourage them to make the fan, voltage and thermal readings available as performance counters so that they can be accessed via WMI calls...
The guys at Lavalys finally got around to adding shared memory interfaces to Everest hardware sensors. This finally gives Windows users an alternative to MBM5 and SpeedFan and the like.

http://www.lavalys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1637 is the thread on their forum that discusses the interface if somebody feels like coding up a CC2 plugin for it... :) If/when they get around to doing WMI interface this won't be needed but in the meantime we need a plugin.

It has not been made yet, and wont be for a while.
I will not be working on plugins/big-upgrades in CC2 until mid October.

Oh please roll on October that is my most wanted list with screen editor.. think of the screen configs possible with everest info.. :) would look great on the purple 635 in my RIG :D

Ive just found the app "Systool".

Its free, supports a lot of hardware, has overclocking features for a lot of MBs & Video cards, and has a good 3rd party app interface.

Im going to work on supporting this first.

When ive done this, ill make an Everest plugin if you guys think its still needed.

If it allows 3rd party apps to adjust the clock speeds, it would be really cool if you could work that into CC2 so you can tweak your clocks from the LCD's keypad!

I've installed it before. Seems nice, lots of info. It's free, which is very nice. Being that Everest costs, donno how many would actually use Everest. Of course, sometimes you get what you pay for...

The one thing about SysTool that make me very nervous is that they have called each version an ALPHA release for way over a year... Don't like to "tweak" too much with "Alpha" SW.

Even CC2 is better than that! Jab Jab.:D

I'm still going to use Everest regardless. It'd be nice if I could use it with CC and my 635.

They are shipping 3.5 now, which has shared memory and WMI hooks (no perfmon yet or else we wouldn't need a plugin at all).

I've used Everest for while now anyway, so it would be nice to use it with my 631. Before I've had to start up several programs in order to get different hardware temps (CPU, GPU) If using Everest, maybe even Northbridge temps would also be nice. ;)
