Storing data into EEPROM

Hi,

What is there out there to enable you to program a text display into your EEPROM.

I have ordered a backlit 632 serial and obviously it takes far less time to power a LCD than to power up your PC.

Is there anything out there to set your display to display "Loading OS" or something while your PC was booting?

The version v2.x series have the ability to store a custom boot screen and recall it at boot. Send \009\005 to store the current screen in the EEPROM, \009\003 to instruct the display to recall that screen at boot. Here is a post on it:

Thank you, I have downloaded the 632 pdf and I will study it (you will have to excuse me, I'm a complete novice with these things)
