Reading files via http

I have the 631 display and I'm looking for a way (program?) to read a file off the internet and put it's contents onto one line on my lcd.

I'm going to use this so my lcd can display messages from my web server. I can create the php code to write the file, but I don't know a program that will read a single line .txt file from the internet and put it on the LCD. That and I don't have the time to write any programs for this.

Anybody know of a program that can do this?

What kind of display are you using?
What's the length of the data you want to display?
