Sent my 634 display back on RMA with failed backlights. It was so dim you couldn't see the display anymore in my dark and dingy computer room.

Crystalfontz promptly replaced it. It looks awesome again. Thank you Crystalfontz!!! Great service!

Hehehe. It's 2 years or so later and those pesky backlight led's are failing again. I had em turned way down from max bright this time, but apparently white led's just don't last very long. Think I'll tinker with some funky homebrew backlighting and see what comes of it. I'm pretty handy with electronics.

An aftermarket kit to replace these might be a good idea.

I've had a couple of the white on blue background 634's and the back lights have gone, the one I'm using now has a couple of good led's still so I can still read itbut not as good as it was new, I thought about trying to fix it, but ir was going to be to much stuffing around.
