I want to make a few displays for my 632 serial lcd...

i want one screen to display bits in, out, and current connections
another to display processes total, %proc usage, %mem usage % hdd usage
and another to display temps(using mbm) of cpu diode, cpu heatsink or similar, case, etc...

Refer to this thread for MBM screens. Both screen files and instructions.

If for some reason, clicking on the link does not take you there, copy paste into your browser (I keep doing something wrong when I do this:eek: )

They were written for 631's and 634's. Download the 631 version, and rename to .1602. Edit the file and change from:

[pre]
rows=2
cols=20

to:

[pre]
rows=2
cols=16

Save and add to CC2.

Try and get these going. If successful, you have gotten one of the hardest screens to get working, simply because it is not quite plug-'n-play.;)

Post back questions after you try and we will get it sorted out.

Once we get this working, we will add more. 1 thing at a time!:D

ok i got your temp one working; i have to scroll through all of them before your screen works, and i get errors. i could make my own if i knew the language, etc...

Ok, here is a little primer on programming syntax. Below is a sample file (CC2's CPU Usage Bargraph.1602) My comments are after the >'s.

> display information for a horizontal bargraph. You usually do not need to know anything about the options here. Just note opt3. length = 16 for a 633 display. And opt01="id=@02".

> basic screen info. screen_name is what is displayed in the CC2 config screen. options=0 is left justify. alt_delay is the amount of time (5 seconds in this case) that CC2 displays this screen before going to the next one.

> 1st row options. options=10 means right scrolls the text if it longer than 16 characters.

[r00-i00]
string="CPU Use: "

> 1st row 1st item, simply text to display.

[r00-i01]
id=@01
options=1
length=3

> 1st row 2nd item. Did you remember to note the id=@01 (CPU %). Right justified and fixed to a length of 3.

[r00-i02]
string="%"

> 1st row 3rd item, simply text to display.

[r01]
options=0

> 2nd row options. options=0 means left justify.

[r01-i00]
id=@02

> 2nd row 1st item, the bargraph display


This is the pure basics of programming CC2 screens. If you can digest this, you are 90% of the way to being able to program your own screens.:)

I am slightly confused. If I understand correctly, you are getting errors in the MBM screen? Did you run the mbm_ini_creator.exe to get id #'s for your setup?

Let me know exactly what you are displaying. If I cannot debug, I may have to have you upload a few files for me to look at.
