ok here goes
i am a linux newb and amtrying to get LCDproc configured on mandrake 9.0
i have a CF 632 16x2 backlit display on com1

i just cant get lcdproc configured
i installed the rpm but i cant figure out how to configure the server portion,
any help or a point to a web site will be most appriciated

This is a good reference, its pretty simple though.

1. should be able to do RPM -I package.rpm

just crab the source tarball and do;

tar zxvf file.tar.gz

cd file

./configure

make

make install

and your done.
