to change the default port that IRman server looks to connect to open regedit and go to this key NOTE: this is for win98, but may be the same for other windows base OS's.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Evation.com\IrServer
find the key named "COMPORTNAME" change the data setting from "COM2:" to the comport you need IRserver to connect on IE "COM4:" and so on. Exit regedit and reboot your box. Make sure that you have the IR reciever connected to the port that you have now changed and things will work just fine.
