I don't know if this will help - but at girder

http://www.girder.nl/download.php there is a program called DVDspy which apparently:

This plug-in intercepts various Windows messages that are used by WinDVD and PowerDVD. This update adds support for accessDTV (HDTV card)

In combination with the LCDdriver plug in for Girder - this might accomplish what you are looking for. Worth a shot. I havn't tried it.
