Graphic LCD power

i am using the CFAG160160B Graphic LCD on a small handheld device that will be powered by two AA batteries. what is the best way to supply the 15v required for the LCD?

how can I run the backlight off the 2 AA seeing it requires min 1A.

Take a look at the power supply chips made my Maxim or Linear that are made to operate from two AA cells.

If you are looking for long battery life, the CFAX12864CP1NGH would be a better choice. It is single-supply 3.3v.
