GIF "start" frame >2 crashes CC2

I'm not sure if this is a bug, a limitation of CC2 or if I'm doing something wrong, but when I try to start a GIF at any frame other than 1 or 2, it crashes CC2. :confused:

Is it possible to set the "start" frame to greater than 1 or 2 i.e.:

start=9
end=18

In theory, the implications of being able to start at a specific frame could potentially be pretty big. However, I can't test my theory because of the crashes.

Thanx

I imagine its a bug.

The gif plugin was written by "aaflyer" who doesn't seem to frequent these forums anymore, or maintain his plugins.

I do have the source code, but working out the problem could take some time, which I'm not going to do at the moment as I'm working on the Vista fixes.
Bring up this problem again in a few weeks time, after the new version of CC2 has been released, maybe I'll look at it then.
