I think installed everything correctly (When I hook the display up and flip my switch on, I get backlight and 16 X 2 white squares) I didn't hook up the pot yet, cause I didn't really understand how to. It seems to me that the Pot is just a piece of plastic with 3 pins, and no real resistance at all, but what do I know. Note, this pot is for the contrast and not for the backlight. I used a resistor for that one.

If my Pot looks like this (* is a pin, 0 is knob)

where do pin 3 from LCD, ground and power go...or does it matter? Everything else seems to be working fine, but I wouldn't know, cause I have contrast all the way up.
