Will Wintest help generate the C code? I am trying to interface a PIC16F874 with the LCD, I forgot to mention that.

Try doing a search for HD44780 in Piclist. That should give you plenty of links for the kind of code/help you're looking for.

Wintest will not generate code, but only uses macro's that can be ported to your microcontroller.
