Hello !

I want to control the brightness of backlight, please, advise me the schematic how to do this with CCFL backlight.
And also what type of LCD among the following is better and why:
1) Transmissive CCFL;
1) Transmissive LED;
2) Transflective LED.
In general, pros and cons for those. Is it true that Transmissive LCD has wider viewing angle than Transflective LCD and CCFL is brighter than LED backlight.

You can find CCFL inverters which are dim-able at JKL - www.jkllamps.com

There are caveats to each of the variations you've stated, but ultimately it depends on your application as to what would be 'best' in it.
