We are considering integrating a graphical display into one of our prtable products. So far I'm intereseted in the CFAG160160B range of displays (based on the module size, display area, resolution). Our application has a 16-bit microcontroller (24 series PIC) and is supplied via batteries 6xAA (nominal 7.2v) with a regulated 5v (and possibly 3.3v) rail. My question is regarding the Voltage supply requirements and possible solutions for the ~15v VLCD requirement. Is it possible to drive this display via a regulated 5v supply using the onboard negative voltage generator to obtain the required -12.4v (5v - -12.4v=17.4v) Or have I misunderstood this entirely?
