ahhhhhh. I read part of the data sheet wrong. I knew I made a mistake somewhere in my initialization. Thanks for pointing it out

Hey!

so I got my entire project working! YAY

I just have one more question to ask. If it is in fact in the data sheet, yell at me and tell me it's in there somewhere. But on with the question.

Is there a way to clear the contents of all the RAM of the LCD? Or in other words, clear/set all the bits on the lcd to off in one swoop.

Right now it clears the screen byte by byte, just wondering if there is a more efficient way to do it

There is no quick & easy way to do that. You have to slug through it, byte by byte.
