usb 2-1: device not accepting address 3, error -71
usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 4
usbserial 2-1:1.0: FTDI 8U232AM Compatible converter detected

...............................
......................
but when i type
cat hello >/dev/ttyUSB1
the bill-poster does not post anything and the console posts the following message:

.drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: write request of 0 bytes

A few things...

First you cannot write pain text to a CFA-633, it needs to be sent in the CFA-631/CFA-633/CFA-635 packet format.

Secondly, the device will appear as a serial device, so ttySxx (xx being the device number).
