CFA-632 Serial LCD in SPI mode

Hi

I am trying to use the CFA-632 serial LCD in SPI mode with PIC.

Q1. Does the CFA-632 work with the 3V instead of 5V (as rated)? I am not using the backlight option.

Q2. In the PIC simulator, I can see the output generated for the SPI1BUF register, the CS is also generated active low. I am not seeing any display on the LCD. Can anyone help me with the sample code?

Thanks
Shailesh

Hi

I tried with using a separate 5V supply for the LCD module, and it works fine.
I think the LCD module should have the working range of 3-5V to accommodate easy interface with the micros which are now working with 3V

Thanks

I am glad you have it working. I think the CFA-632 will only work under 5v as specified.

I agree with you, 3.3v is getting more common.
