I am developing an embedded applicaiton that requires a display that is sub 27mm high. I was going to need buttons for menu access so the 631 looked great.

So here is my problem, my current embedded core does not have usb support so to interface to the 631 I would need to fake a USB interface via digital I/O lines. I would prefer to have serial access to the display, what would you suggest.

Can I get at it via the expansion header?

With the default firmware, the CFA-631 is not able to do serial.

However, we could make a semi-custom version of the firmware that could support logic-level serial through the expansion connector.

I'll open a ticket so we can discuss the details.
