CFA-631 encoding/character table

Hi.

I'm writing a .NET 2.0 application encapsulating the functionallity of the CrystalFontz CFA-631 display. I'm wondering which "encoding" the display is using? At the moment i'm mapping chars agains bytes manually according to the char table in the firm ware documentation.

But, if this was a "known" encoding, it might help me out.

I do not know if it is a specific encoding, but I doubt it. These LCD controller chips were designed long ago.

You would have to comapre the "CHARACTER GENERATOR ROM (CGROM)" from the data sheet and see if it matched any common encodings.
