cat5 cable with new 634

I'd like to use a cat 5 cable with my new serial 634, but the instructions in this forum don't seem to match what i have have. has anyone used cat 5 with one of the new serial 634s? thanks guys.

Am I to assume you want to add jacks on both sides so you just have to use a CAT-5 wire to connect the two, power and all? Yes, you can, its not hard. Just make sure the wiring matches on both ends (especially for power), just take your time and tripply-check and it'll be ok. A lot of people say that CAT-5 isnt made for power transmission but I've used it for VFDs which draw much more current without issue.
