Brand New 635 no responding...

Drivers installed.
CrytalFontz serial port is installed...
WinTest 635 says "Looking for module.."

Display is lit with the usual boot message re: CrystalFontz 4x20 etc...
and 1 LED is lit green.

Help please.... Would hate if this was not working.....:( :( :(

I have selected the port named "CrystalFontz CFA635-USB (COM7)".....
I changed the COM port from 4 to 5 to 7 etc.... rebooted un-installed drivers cleaned registry retried.....

I also tried the internal USB cable, External USB cable.
I took all the fans off the SCAB, No Temp sensors , still no luck......
Can the cable between SCAB and 635 cause the communication error? (I would not think so....)
Great looking display! Wish I would find a way to make it work.....

If the COM port shows up, and the display has power and it still will not talk at either baud rate, then something is not right.

Please give support a call tomorrow (888) 206-9720 and if they cannot figure out what is wrong, they will get another display out to you.

I have exactly the same problem with my 100 635 series M7Y.
The previous 4 I bought with series F7B has no probs.

Some CFA-635 units got some incorrect USB programming :(

Unfortunately, the hardware we use to program and test them reported that everything is OK during its check phase, but they do not work on a PC.

These units will have to come back for reprogramming. Please contact support@crystalfontz.com to arrange an RMA.

Please accept our apologies for this problem. Hopefully we can correct it for you quickly.
